Cúrsaí Smachta:
A happy family atmosphere conducive to learning, where children grow independent and self-confident, has always prevailed in this school. This has long been recognised and appreciated by parents. A high standard of behaviour and co-operation is expected from pupils at all times.
Sanctions including suspension and expulsion may be imposed by the College Authority for serious breaches of discipline.
Where the Scoil na Leanaí system is considered unsuitable for a child the parents/guardian will be advised accordingly.
Ginearálta:
It has been our experience that the encouragement of good and open communication between pupils, parents and personnel who deal with the children on a daily basis, has played a major part in the success of Scoil na Leanaí down through the years. We will make every effort to answer parents' questions regarding their child's stay in Scoil na Leanaí. Bíonn fáilte, i gcónaí, roimh thuismitheoirí agus má bhíonn gnó ar leith le déanamh is féidir coinne a shocrú roimhré.
Cluichí and Caitheamh Aimsire:
We recognise the importance of organised, creative, leisure time and with this in mind our whole concept of cluichí agus caitheamh aimsire is based on full participation by all our pupils - buachaillí agus cailíní. Every effort is made to encourage the children to realise their own abilities in recreational pursuits whether indoor, outdoor, in groups, on teams or in solo events.
A team of Cinnirí guide and supervise the young people outside class time and a carefully planned programme of events is implemented while encouraging an Irish-speaking atmosphere. The activities include football, basketball, volleyball, rounders, general field events, pitch & putt, tennis, squash, table tennis, computers, etc. Indoor, céilithe and claisceadal, coirmeacha ceoil, T.V., videos, board games, etc. are all part of the normal week.
